So, why not bring to the table all the flavor of the Mediterranean with this rustic and genuine dish?
“Cozze in guazzetto”: the taste of the sea to your table
This is the recipe.
- 1 kg of fresh mussels
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 clove of garlic
- 200 g tomato sauce
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Black pepper
- How prepare the mussels steamed
Scrape, carefully, the surface of the shells and remove the filament sticking out of the mussels. At the same time, discard the opened ones. After, fry olive oil and garlic in a saucepan. When the garlic begins to be brown, add parsley and tomato sauce. Let it cook on medium-hot fire, for 30 minutes, adjusting flavor and adding water if the tomato sauce dries out too much.
After 30 minutes, add the mussels in the saucepan and tap with a lid.
Once the mussels are opened, mix them so that the sauce enters in the shell and flavors the mussels.
Serve in a salad bowl, sprinkle with black pepper and serve it with toasted bread, a good white wine and enjoy!
